Random thoughts on a chilly sunny November morning:

1. I discovered red nail polish again this week. I have been giving myself a manicure every week now for the holidays. I’ve painted them cream. I’ve painted them taupe. I’ve painted them navy. I’ve painted them dark gray. And this week I went all holiday.

RED.

And I LOVE IT.

2. You know how much I love Colleeen Rothschild skincare —I’ve been using for over two years. And every year about this time Colleen Rothschild has the best sale of the year. EVERYTHING IS 30% sitewide right now–time to stock up. Just use code THISTLEWOOD30.

You can see the sale here.

3. I discovered this list of the top 100 Christmas songs for 2024 on Spotify.

Guess what number 1 was (please act surprised)?

This song.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about

  • 101 holiday gift ideas under $10
  • how to make these large DIY ornaments
  • 21 easy DIY gfit wrap ideas
  • 7 creative ideas for Christmas tree toppers

5. We discovered yesterday that my Santa mug holds 1 1/2 cups of coffee of a regular coffee mug. That’s where I’m getting all my extra energy from.

6. The Holidays at Home bundle is LIVE. So many of you got the bundle last year and told me how much you loved it. For the next couple of days the bundle is on special deal—normally all these ebooks and resources would be over $250—but everything is now bundled together and all these resources are only $39.

  • 4 planning resources to keep you organized and on task
  • 4 decorating resources to create a beautiful holiday backdrop
  • 2 recipe & hosting resources to host the best events
  • 3 DIY & craft tutorials to make your holiday extra special

You can see the bundle here.

And now?

Let’s see all the amazing things I found for us this week (it’s a good one).

A festive decoration of bell-shaped ornaments made from book pages with green bows, surrounded by pine branches and gold baubles, hangs on a wooden wall near a window. The surface below is a natural wood floor.

Look at these DIY paper bells.

And they are so much easier to make than you think.

You can see the how-to here.

A cozy scene featuring a table with pies displayed on a wooden stand, white mugs, and a pine cone. There's a small sign labeled "Apple Pie." The background shows a lush bouquet of yellow and green foliage, creating a warm autumn atmosphere.

Here’s how to set up a pie buffet for Thanksgiving.

Look at the little pie markers that are pinecones.

You can see the entire buffet details here.

This just made me smile.

It’s the cutest project and it’s made almost entirely with items from the Dollar Store.

See the entire DIY here.

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree stands in a cozy living room. The tree features gold and red ornaments, with warm white lights. Presents wrapped in festive paper sit underneath. A shelf with books and holiday decor is in the background.

This Christmas tree stopped me in my tracks.

Isn’t it beautiful? And it features the color of the season—burgundy.

You can see the tree here.
