Random thoughts on an August Saturday:

1. Have you noticed that if you say something out loud it appears in ads?

Yikes.

The other day I was talking about going to a store and IT SHOWED UP IN MY ADS ONLINE.

2. In amazing news, the twins are both home from their internships for a couple of weeks before they head back to Waco.

There’s just something about hearing giggles upstairs that makes this mama’s heart so happy.

3. Have you ever played Mahjong before?

We are all about it around here and we’re having a family Mahjong night tomorrow.

4. Just in case you ever thought about moving to Texas? It was 108 degrees in places in Texas.

Sigh.

Fall. I’m looking at you.

5. It was an amazing week on the blog. I shared with you:

  • one last fun DIY for summer
  • the ultimate beach packing checklist
  • the vintage find I never knew I needed
  • quick and easy bathroom decor

6. I ordered the perfect mesh tennis shoes for fall. They come in so many different colors and they are SO comfortable and they are so inexpensive. I already had one pair, but I’m ordering another pair in the apricot. Just a quick tip—if you order them be sure and size down if you are in between sizes. They run a little big.

You can see them here.

And now?

Let’s see all the amazingness that I found for us this week.

A round loaf of rustic bread dusted with flour sits on a wooden board, partially covered by a lace cloth. A bread knife with a wooden handle rests on top of the cloth, all set against a dark wooden background.

Did you know bread stenciling was even a thing?

Look how beautiful.

See all the tips and ideas here.

A charming house with dark gray siding is partially hidden by lush greenery and white hydrangea bushes in the front yard. A large tree provides shade, and the house features white trim and a steep, gabled roof. The scene is lit by bright, sunny daylight.

This is one of my favorite houses in the world.

I walk by these gardens every day and sigh.

Take the entire garden tour here.

A white ceramic pitcher with floral designs in pink, yellow, and green holds a bouquet of fresh green plants. It is placed on a white countertop next to a wooden cutting board with part of a lemon visible. The background is a blurry kitchen scene.

Isn’t this the prettiest pitcher?

It’s a DIY inspired project.

You can see the how-to here.

I think ginger jars are the new dough bowls.

Here are some of the cutest ginger jars.
