Can I tell you how happy I am that you are here?

You probably get that all the time. Red carpets wherever you walk. Standing ovations when you speak. You and your rock star self just VIP your way through life.

I get it. I understand.

After all, you are amazing.

But today? I’m extra happy that you showed up.

Because today is all about fall and pumpkins and garland and kitchens and living rooms and hutches and coffee tables and benches that have their fall on. Today is all about a historic home tour full of a little autumnal splendor.

This house has been here for 116 years and I think this is the cutest fall that it’s ever seen.

Are you ready?

Oh, good.

Because I took a few pictures.

You know.

Just a few.

A cozy autumn-themed decor setup with a bouquet of pink and green flowers in a white textured vase. Wooden pumpkins are placed on a marble-topped table, and a rustic abacus with pastel beads hangs on the wall in the background.

This year I wanted to try something different from all the years before.

I had this brilliant idea. I recently heard a message shared about Brene Brown. She researched people from all over the globe who were truly joyful in their circumstances and discovered something they all had in common. Truly joyful people wake up every day and live that day with an attitude of gratitude. She discovered there’s something so amazing— there’s something so joyful about celebrating the gifts we have been given.

Like the crisp clear morning I woke up to. Like the hot, yummy fresh cup of coffee I’m enjoying right now laughing and smiling and planning the day with the cutest pair of twinkling eyes. Like the egg-white omelet with grilled chicken and spinach and salsa that I just ordered. Like all the possibilities and all the amazing minutes that are just around the corner waiting to be experienced.

I think if we don’t celebrate moments like that? Sometimes we miss them.

Truly.

So today? I wanted to share my home tour long with all the things I’m thankful for.

Yep.

A tour with all the thankfuls.

Just you and me and all the rooms and all the blessings.

2.  I’m thankful I kissed that twinkly-eyed date on the curb right outside the window where I’m typing this post.

3.  I’m thankful he survived my pancakes.
