Looking for fashion hacks to stretch your budget? Here are 9 creative solutions to simple fashion challenges.

// shoe clips //

Yesterday I went to an event with other bloggers and creators and I wore these exact shoes.

I felt like Dorothy.

If I clicked them three times, they might have turned into ruby slippers.

Four different people asked me where I got these shoes.

And each time I laughed and showed them my secret. These were just plain ordinary shoes until I found these shoe clips. No one could believe it. The difference a little clip made was incredible.

For under $10 these shoes turned fancy in the blink of an eye.

And it made me think.

I have discovered so many simple tips and fashion hacks like this to strreeeeeeetttttttch your fashion budget.

Not to be dramatic, but here are 9 fashion hacks that I have changed my fashion life.

9 Fashion Hacks To Stretch the Budget

1. Shoe Clips

Here are just some of the shoe clips from my clip collection.

With all these clips you can change the look of almost any shoe.

Your shoes can be sassy or fancy or serious or look like they are heading to meet the Queen.

You can see all my favorite shoe clips here.

A white shirt with decorative gold and diamond-like button covers. One button cover is open, revealing a regular white button underneath. The button covers are spherical and sparkly, adding a touch of elegance to the shirt.

2. Button cover

Have you ever seen these before?

I told someone about this fashion hack and they told me that button covers have been around for ages.

Where have I been?

You can update a cardigan or a shirt in minutes without sewing on new buttons.

All you do is slide the fancy button cover onto a button and close it.

You can see the button cover here.

A woman with long blonde hair smiles while standing indoors. She is wearing a beige cardigan with a black flower detail, black pants, and animal print shoes. A large sign next to her reads, "Your home is one of a kind...

A person holding a large, dark flower in their hand. The background is blurred, highlighting the flower's texture and petals. The person is wearing a beige top and bracelets.

A person holding a black scrunchie with a silver charm attached. The hand is adorned with bracelets, and the background is a wooden floor.

3. Flower clip

I have a couple of these flowers in different colors and they instantly update a sweater.

On the back is a clip and a pin.

You can pin them to a sweater (or clip them on a sweater, too) or clip them on a purse or a bag, too.

You can see the flower clip here.

Two detachable shirt collars designed to be worn under sweaters or dresses. One collar is white and the other is pink. Both have button closures and small side straps to secure them in place.

// dickies //

4. Dickies

My mother told me she used to wear a dicky.

I love them.

It’s a little warm in Texas sometimes (understatement of the year) and wearing layers of clothes can get overwhelming.

This is the best solution.

You just add them under a sweater and it looks like you have a shirt on.

You can see this set of dickies here.

And look at this cute blue jean collar dicky I found with a ruffle. You can see it here.

A person with long, wavy blonde hair stands in a room with large windows. They wear a leopard print top, wide-leg denim pants, and leopard print shoes. There are patterned curtains and a door with glass panes in the background.

A woman with long blonde hair is smiling and standing in a room with white-framed glass doors and patterned curtains. She is wearing a leopard print top, cuffed blue jeans, and leopard print shoes.

A person wearing a brown patterned top and blue jeans holds out a beige elastic band with two loops. The background is softly blurred.

5. Belt to use on bulky sweaters

This fashion hack is one of my favorites.

Sometimes my sweaters are too bulky to tuck in and sometimes they are too long.

Instead of tucking it all the way in, I add this belt around my waist and pull the sweater through the belt and then you can tuck in the very end so it doesn’t look bulky at all.

This set comes with four belts for under $10.

You can see the invisible belt here.

The image shows packaging for "Fearless Body & Clothing Tape." It contains 50 strips of double-sided tape, each 1/2" x 3". The design includes an illustration of a woman in a dress. Labels read "Made in USA" and "Waterproof.

6. Fearless tape

This is the tape you never really knew you needed.

It’s the fix for everything.

If your shirt gapes, add this double-sided tape.

If you need your collar to stay in place, add this double-sided tape.

It just keeps everything in place.

You can see the fearless tape here.

// heel grippers //

7. Heel gripper

One of my feet is bigger than the other foot.

Have you ever heard of that before?

So the challenge is that my shoes never really fit properly. Until I found this solution. These heel grippers attach to the back of a pair of shoes (or shoe) and add a little cushion to help the shoe fit.

You can see the heel grippers here.

Three gold chain extenders of varying lengths, each with circular clasps, are displayed. A black jewelry polishing cloth is shown above them, partially covering a white fabric underneath.

8. Necklace extender

I always want to change the length of my necklace depending on the outfit.

Here’s how I change it up.

This necklace extender can make a necklace longer. It comes in a set of three with three different legnths.

And this is another great solution if you want to keep more than one necklace in place.

This necklace layering clasp keeps multiple necklaces layered perfectly.

Two shirt skirts with a curved hem and buttons down the front. One is white with plain fabric, and the other has blue and white vertical stripes. Both have elastic waistbands.

9. Shirt extender

Isn’t this the best idea?

You know when you find a shirt or sweater and it’s too short?

Here’s a way to extend it.

This shirt extender sticks out under the bottom of the sweater and you can make the sweater as short or as long as you want.

You can see the shirt extender here.

I hope this was a little helpful.

Or “hackful.”

There are so many amazing solutions to fashion challenges.

And besides?

We fashionistas have to stick together.
