A person with long blonde hair, wearing a striped sweater, stands in a kitchen holding a baking tray of freshly baked peanut butter cookies. They are smiling, and the background features a stove and white tile backsplash.

I am all about a reality television show.

But, y’all?

I can’t with the eating competitions.

You know–when there’s a “eat-the-weirdest-thing-you-can-find-on-the-island” challenge.

Yuck and double yuck.

The contest starts with something simple like prickly cactus and before you know it they are eating something that’s moving.

Could you? Would you? Eat something that made your eyes and your stomach roll?  Could you take the challenge for a million dollars?

Not me.

Nope.

Not even a little.

I would have to turn in my scarf and wave goodbye to my fellow island mates and hop on the next helicopter to the mainland.

I mean, really.  I like what I eat to be sweet or savory…..

…..and preferably not moving.

Good thing I have a few amazing recipes for you today.

Here are nine of the BEST fall recipes to start your week off with a yum.

A bowl of crunchy granola with nuts and spices, served as a wholesome breakfast option.

The Ultimate Granola

Are you a breakfast or dinner person?

Or a person who likes breakfast for dinner.

If you do, come sit by me. And there’s nothing cozier for fall than this homemade granola.

My mother used to make granola like this when I was younger and it just makes me so happy.

A plate of freshly baked cookies on a blue and white ceramic cake stand, with a matching plate, a glass of milk, and a white pitcher in the background, placed on a patterned tablecloth.

These Snickerdoodle Cookies

These are the tried and true snickerdoodles that I’ve shared before.

So many of you baked them and emailed me about how good they were that I had to share again.

They are chewy inside and just a little crispy on the outside.

They are totally no-bake.

Pumpkin Pie

“Real Pumpkin” Pumpkin Pie

This is one of the recipes I made with my friend at the farmhouse in Kentucky.

I don’t know why I thought pumpkin came from a can.

Until I saw her make pumpkin pie from a pumpkin.

And it’s so good.

My Mother’s Cranberry Bread

It’s so good and now I made it every year, too.

This Gingerbread House

This is the easiest gingerbread house recipe.

I made it with a pan that looks like a house and a boxed mix.

So easy and cute for fall.

Wait.

I changed my mind.

I think I like an eating contest.

But only if it’s to see what the coziest recipe is for fall.

That’s my kind of contest.
