Random thoughts on a beautiful September Saturday morning:

1. We went to a charity event yesterday and my husband wore a pocket square.

He was reading posts on how to fold it and I walked up and folded it in 10 seconds.

I told him it was just like folding a napkin.

2. I’m speaking at a conference in Waco in a couple of weeks to promote the Christmas book so I’ll get to see the twins. They are coming to listen to my talk and just between us?

They are my favorite audience ever.

3. It was an amazing week on the blog. We discussed:

  • 17 of the cutest fall home decor finds under $25
  • this beautiful farmhouse tour
  • these fall front porch decor ideas
  • fall decorating that doesn’t take itself too seriously

4. I have a make-up tip for all of us. Remember how I told you about applying foundation with a large brush? Have you tried this? Apply cream blush on your cheeks with a blush stick.

And then?

Use a big powder brush to brush it out. It looks so natural and beautiful when you brush cream blush out like that.

Have you ever tried this before?

5. And these are SO CUTE in real life. I’ll be sharing next week and styling them with pumpkins.

Stay tuned.

And now?

Here are all my favorite finds from this week.

LET’S GO.

Elegant dining room featuring a round table draped with a blue and white patterned tablecloth. Beige and blue cushioned chairs surround the table, which is adorned with blue floral arrangements and candles. A chandelier hangs above, and large windows provide ample natural light.

The beautiful fall dining room.

I never thought to use blue hydrangeas for fall.

Brilliant.

Take the dining room tour here.

A wooden dining table is adorned with a white runner designed to look like a measuring tape, marked with numbers and lines. At one end, there is a stack of plates with cutlery wrapped in a napkin, and nearby, a copper pot with a plant and several clear glasses.

Isn’t this the cutest idea for a table runner?

And you can DIY it yourself.

The shed is now a chicken coop with the cutest chickens.

A flat lay of various dried flowers and green ferns spread across a beige surface. The flowers include white hydrangeas, purple blossoms, yellow asters, and pink roses. Some scattered green leaves are also present among the arrangement.

And this pressed flower project.

Wait until you see what was created.
