tips-for-growing-hydrangeas-in-spring

Random thoughts on a weekend full of sunshine:

1. I’m so excited about Mother’s Day.

I’m treating my mother and mother-in-law and then the kids have planned a full day of events, including board games and cooking supper.

2. I am in the middle of the BEST book. I’m so curious how the entire story is going to come together.

You can see it here.

3. National Sunscreen Day is coming up this month.

Please make sure to add sunscreen to your weekend plans if you are spending any amount of time in the sunshine.

4. It was such a fun zoom class week and it was wonderful to get to spend time with all of you.

If you missed the zoom, you can catch the replay here.

5. We are planting tomorrow. I can’t wait to show you the new flower beds.

6. It was an incredible week on the blog. This week we discussed:

  • these unpopular opinions
  • 7 things to get rid of in your closet
  • this made my heart so happy to share
  • 7 things I want to teach my daughters

Wait until you see all the inspiration and ideas I found this week.

LET’S GO.

A bright, stylish kitchen featuring white cabinetry, a central island with wicker bar stools, elegant hanging lights, and decorative accents like mirrors and a patterned rug.

This home tour is next level.

The architectural detail is amazing and it’s right down the street from me.

You can take the entire tour here.

A bright, elegant table set with pastel blue candles, Pellegrino bottle, crystal glasses, white flowers in a ceramic vase, and a floral table runner featuring lemons. Candles and more flowers decorate a white sideboard in the background.

These placemats are such a fun DIY.

And they are created with corkboard.

You can see the how to here.

A bright, cozy kitchen corner with checkered floor, white cabinetry, and a small stool holding potted plants. Decor includes woven baskets, hats, and rustic kitchenware on open wooden shelves.

This beautiful house tour.

There are so many amazing details.

You can see the entire tour here.

Two glass jars filled with cookies, topped with colorful bird figurines. Each jar has a tag labeled "birds and bees," set against a blurred green and floral background.

These bird jars are the sweetest.

What an amazing gift.

You can see the art here.

A DIY spring wreath with pink flowers and green leaves on a twisted vine, hanging on a dark blue door with a gold door knocker.

And one more for the road

This is the wreath on the door from the post earlier this week.

It’s so easy to make and you can see the DIY here.

My favorite find from this week:

A woman with long blonde hair, wearing a dark dress, statement necklace, and patterned heels, stands smiling in front of white cabinets. Large woven baskets sit on top of the cabinets and a light patterned rug is on the floor.

A white slingback pump with a low heel, pointed toe, and blue floral and bird patterns. The shoe features a decorative bow near the strap.

// blue and white shoes //

Have you ever seen a pair of shoes that looked more like me (and they are so comfortable, too)?

And look at that tiny blue and white bow.

Seriously.

I shared them on Instagram this week and they were my top seller.

You can see them here.
