A vibrant bunch of pink tulips laying on a wooden surface in front of a chalkboard, accompanied by three clear glass bottles of varying heights, perfect for spring mantel ideas.

Random thoughts on a flower planting Saturday:

1. If you’ve ever wondered if you should move to Texas? You should SEE our yard sales.

Y’all.

I found THE CUTEST lamp for the new office. It looks like something right out of a Brady Bunch episode.

2. I wore a high pony last week. It was amazing. If you aren’t already, you need to add a high pony to your hair rotation. A quick high pony tip? I actually make two ponytails. One on the top and one underneath. Then I pull the bottom pony through the top pony (is this sounding as confusing as it sounds to me when I type it). I also use this hair texturizing powder to make it stay up, too.

3. It’s official—we are having the ZOOM this coming week to learn how to make illustrations of your house on Chat GPT of your house like these illustrations.

It will be May 1 at 11:00 CST and it should take about 30-45 minutes.

It’s free—there’s no charge. If you left me your email with your comment on the other post—I’ll use that email to send out the ZOOM invites. If you missed the invite— just leave your email in the comments on this post.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:

  • 11 things I love from this blue and white living room
  • the cutest summer fashion finds from Walmart
  • how I organize a room
  • and this fun house tour just in case you missed it

5. We are planting this weekend and we are working on a new flower bed for the picket fence and gate in the back yard.

It’s one of my favorite weekends of the year.

Spring is here.

And now?

Let’s see all the awesome stuff I found for us this week.

A handmade tulip craft made of pink tissue paper and green paper stands on a wooden table, with a faux brown bulb base. In the background are white pitchers with flowers and a decorative ceramic bunny.

Look at these paper tulips.

Aren’t they the cutest?

And guess what they are made from? Coffee filters.

You can see the how-to here.

Various framed and unframed pressed flowers and leaves are arranged on a wooden surface. Some pieces use pages from books as backgrounds, and the frames are in different colors and styles.

I love a pressed flower project.

And now is the perfect time for them with all the spring blooms.

You can see all the pressed flower projects here.

A woven basket filled with white, yellow, and purple flowers hangs on a white wooden door. Above the basket, a burlap ribbon is tied in a bow.

Isn’t this the cutest basket for the front door?

This post has tons of basket decorating ideas.

You can see them here.

A thank you card and pen rest on a table with floral-patterned fabric squares and yellow flowers, creating a warm, inviting scene.

I’ve thought of making my own envelopes before.

But never from fabric.

What a clever idea.

You can see the DIY here.

And this beautifully written post. We all need more of this.

It spoke to my heart.

A woman with long blonde hair, wearing a beige buttoned cardigan, black wide-leg pants, and black shoes, stands in a bright bedroom holding a black and white beaded handbag. Blue and white decor accents the room.

I just found a smaller boutique brand called Quince recently.

You can see more about it here.

So many different people recommended it and the price point is so good, so I tried them.

(total aside: I am not a brand ambassador for Quince, but I SO WISH I was.)

If you are looking for a super HIGH QUALITY knit pant—this is the ONE. It comes in two different lengths and three different colors. I ordered the shorter one (of course). They have the cutest pockets in the front and the pants hold in my tummy and just feel super expensive.

I’m going to do an entire post on what I ordered (I only returned one thing) and everything else was SO NEXT LEVEL.

You can see the pants here.

You can see everything else I ordered here.

And one more for the road

If you have concrete?

You can make it look like this.

Here’s the simple DIY.

Happy random Saturday to you
