Random thoughts on a Saturday morning on Cape Cod:
1. In hilarious news, have you seen the new Action Figure Trend where you make an action figure of yourself with Chat GPT. I like mine—but it doesn’t even look like me (although I wish my legs were that cute).
I guess I’m too much of an original to copy.
2. I made shrimp with spaghetti squash noodles. (remember I’m a cook, now). I was so good. I added shrimp and Laughing Cow Cheese and broccoli and light cream cheese as the sauce. It tasted like shrimp alfredo–but lighter.
I saw a recipe for seared scallops and cauliflower rice risotto. I’m going to try that next.
3. In exciting news, we are in the countdown for graduation for the cutest twins on the planet.
Time to start planning the outfit.
4. Looking for a fun way to make your room feel like summer without spending a dime? Here’s a tip I use all the time.
5. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:
- this beach house tour
- when it rained alligators
- the cutest spring outfits from Amazon
- this easy vegetable quiche
6. What are your thoughts on decaf coffee? I switched recently and don’t tell the coffee people, but I can’t tell a difference.
7. I just finished Broken Country and it did NOT DISAPPOINT.
If you are looking for a new book? This one is a 10 out of 10.
You can see the book here.
I have this book cued up next.
And now?
Here are some of my favorite finds from around the web.
LET’S GO.

You know I’ve been all about lemons lately.
And look at this—lemon sorbet in actual lemons.
You can see the recipe here.

Look at these Easter eggs.
Don’t they look like art?
You can see more about the eggs here.

This beautiful home tour for summer.
I actually photographed this home for my next book.
You can take the tour here.

I keep meaning to try a project with air-dry clay–I ordered some and I have it ready.
Maybe this is the project.
See this carved wood block project with air-dry clay here.

If you are having a party (a Master’s party or some other fun event) you can make your own bingo cards for free here

And look what just hopped into my cart.
Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart just released this entire new line of blue and white (they also have green and gray colorways, too) and they are melamine which means they are SUPER AFFORDABLE and perfect for summer.
This was my favorite by far because the serving pieces are in the lid.
You can see this bowl here.

Here are some other pieces in the line:
- this chip and dip bowl set (the pieces come out from the bowl)
- these plates (wait until you see the price point)
- this melamine dish set
- this striped platter
- this large serving bowl
- this bowl with a lid and serving pieces

And one more for the road
This is the before of my front porch.
Two different bricks and two different colors and a whole lot of not matching.
And now?
It looks like this.

Happy Random Saturday to You
