Perfumed by the garden, this small, hidden back space was furnished with a white-painted Swedish dining table and a rattan daybed, two pieces so beloved\u2014and durable\u2014that when my mother downsized to an apartment, she took them with her.<\/p>\n<p>So I know from experience that rattan daybeds are the ultimate for napping. And they\u2019re so emblematic of easy, breezy living that they qualify as stress reducers. I\u2019ve been glad to see a number of variations appear on the market. Here are seven current versions to consider, plus an antique from a French workshop that\u2019s just started reintroducing rattan production to the South of France.<\/p>\n<h3>The Vintage Inspiration<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/4485770950319269473.jpg\">  <br \/>Above: A 1960s rattan daybed from Atelier Vime, the aforementioned French brand, which offers both vintage and new designs: Read about it in Rattan Revival.
