{"id":3349,"date":"2025-09-19T08:44:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T00:44:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/homeofmaterials.com\/2025\/09\/19\/artful-utility-blankets-from-an-artist-in-residence\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T08:44:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T00:44:14","slug":"artful-utility-blankets-from-an-artist-in-residence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/homeofmaterials.com\/nl\/artful-utility-blankets-from-an-artist-in-residence\/","title":{"rendered":"Kunstige gebruiksdekens van een kunstenaar in residentie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">During a recent stint at<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">&nbsp;<\/span>The Workshop Residence,<span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">Jim Isermann<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">, an artist based in Palm Springs and Guerneville, California, reimagined the humble utility blanket, creating a line of&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">thick cotton duck canvas throws, custom dyed and silk screened<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.538em\">The geometric pattern is a reflection of Isermann\u2019s style, an interpretation of industrial design and fine art through the lens of popular culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The heavy blankets can be used for packing, picnicking, as a rug, bed coverlet, or as an outdoor throw.
