The hotel, called Wan\u00e5s (pronounced <em>va-<\/em>noos) after the estate, is renovated with sustainable oak (sourced from the estate forest) and limestone floors, vintage tile, and custom or found furniture. Wachtmeister\u2019s understated interiors occupy the space between historic and modern, polished and approachable.
